Rarity is drop tier
Consumer → Industrial → Mil-Spec → Restricted → Classified → Covert (plus Special Items for knives/gloves). It describes case odds more than beauty.
Pretty ≠ Covert
Plenty of Restricted skins out-look bored Coverts. Buy with your eyes and your budget, not the color of the label alone.
Souvenir and StatTrak
Extra attributes change collecting stories and prices. They do not automatically improve the paint.
Use rarity as a filter
When browsing cases or collections, rarity narrows the list. Final picks still need inspect.
