This policy describes how Chamber Notes and related pages on this domain ("we", "us", "this site") handle information when you visit our CS2 skin editorial content and our independent CSGOEmpire review / comparison pages. We are not Valve, Counter-Strike, Steam, or CSGOEmpire.

Who we are

This domain hosts two related surfaces:

  • Chamber Notes — an independent editorial publication about Counter-Strike 2 cosmetics (reviews, budget guides, mechanics explainers, and loadout notes).
  • Affiliate review pages — independent informational reviews and guides about CSGOEmpire (for example fees, legitimacy, and product overview). These pages may include partner links. We do not operate CSGOEmpire, hold its gambling licence, or process deposits or withdrawals on your behalf.

We do not ask you to create an account to read our articles or review pages.

Age and gambling content

Affiliate review pages discuss an online skin gambling / wagering platform and are intended only for adults 18+ (or the legal age in your jurisdiction, if higher). If you are under 18, do not use those pages or follow partner links to gambling products. Editorial Chamber Notes articles about cosmetics are separate from operator gambling services.

Information we collect

We collect limited technical and usage data to operate the site, measure traffic, and keep services secure:

  • Session cookie (_sid) — a random identifier stored in an HTTP-only cookie while you browse. Used to group page views within a short session (about 30 minutes).
  • Campaign parameters — if you arrive with a Google Click ID (gclid) or UTM tags, we may store these with the session and forward them on partner redirects (for example via /go) to understand which campaigns led to visits.
  • Hashed IP address — we may derive a one-way hash from your IP address with a server secret. We do not store raw IP addresses in our long-term analytics database. Hashes support rate limiting and coarse traffic analysis.
  • Browser signals — standard headers such as User-Agent, Accept, Accept-Language, and referrer may be processed for security and bot classification. We serve the same page HTML to visitors and crawlers (no cloaking).
  • Client beacon (optional) — pages may send a lightweight analytics beacon after load (for example screen size, timezone, pointer capability) to support fraud and bot detection. It does not change what you see on the page.
  • Server logs — our hosting provider may temporarily log IPs, paths, and timestamps for security and debugging, according to the host's retention policy.

We do not run account signup, newsletters, comment forms, or payment forms on this site, and we do not collect email addresses through Chamber Notes or review reading flows.

How we use information

  • Operate and secure the website
  • Measure aggregate page views and campaign performance
  • Apply rate limits and abuse prevention
  • Improve editorial and review content based on aggregate reading patterns
  • Complete partner redirects when you choose a call-to-action (for example continue to CSGOEmpire via /go)

We do not sell your personal information to data brokers.

Affiliate disclosure (privacy context)

If you register or deposit through our partner link, we may receive a commission at no extra cost to you. Campaign identifiers such as gclid may be passed to the partner destination for attribution. That destination is operated by CSGOEmpire / its licence holder and is governed by their privacy policy, not this one.

Legal bases (brief)

Where privacy laws ask for a basis, we rely on legitimate interests in running a secure website, understanding aggregate traffic, and preventing abuse. Essential session cookies support those operations. You can block cookies in your browser if you prefer; reading the articles does not require creating an account.

Cookies and your choices

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking _sid may limit our ability to attribute visits across pages, but you can still read content. Most browsers support "Do Not Track"; we do not change page content based on DNT, but we minimise collection by design.

Third parties

Our hosting provider processes requests as needed to deliver the site. If we run Google Ads, Google may process data under Google's Privacy Policy. Informational outbound links and partner destinations (including CSGOEmpire) are governed by those sites' own policies. Other technical paths on this domain may exist for operational redirects and share the same logging approach described above.

Data retention

Session data is short-lived. Aggregated event logs, if retained, are kept only as long as needed for analytics and security, then deleted or further aggregated. Hashed IPs are not reversible without the server secret.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data. Because we mostly store pseudonymous session IDs and hashed IPs, we often cannot identify records tied to you without the cookie value on your device. Clearing site cookies on your browser is the most direct way to remove local session identifiers. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority where applicable.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Gambling-related review pages and partner links are for adults 18+ only.

International visitors

Our servers may be located outside your country. By using this site, you understand that data may be processed in jurisdictions with different privacy laws than your own. Online gambling access may be restricted where you live; you are responsible for complying with local law.

Changes to this policy

We may update this page when our practices change. The "Last updated" date will reflect the latest version. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
